The Story Bible: Why We Keep Your Characters, Colours & World on File for Next Time
The Story Bible: Why We Keep Your Characters, Colours & World on File for Next Time
Here's something we do quietly after every project that clients only appreciate months later: we keep your story bible.
What Happens Without One
You order a second story six months later, and the character looks like a different person. The colours are slightly different, so the two videos don't read as the same brand. The shop or office in your story gets redrawn from scratch, differently. You re-explain your brand, your tone, and your character all over again.
Worst of all, viewers who saw the first story don't recognise the second one as yours โ which defeats the point of running two stories. And you end up paying for design decisions that were already made once.
What's in Your Story Bible
Your character: face, build, clothing, expressions, and poses, already drawn. Exact colour values, so nothing shifts between projects. Your story world โ the shop, office, street, or home โ already built. Tone notes covering how your brand speaks and what it never says. Font choices and end-card layout. And a record of what earlier stories covered, so we don't repeat a message you've already made.
Why It Matters on Story Three
Brand recognition doesn't come from one great video. It comes from the fifth one looking like it belongs with the first four. That's the entire mechanism โ familiarity built through repetition of the same visual world.
A story bible is what makes that possible. It also means later stories cost less time, because half the design work already exists and doesn't need re-deciding.
One story is content. A consistent world is a brand.
Built once. Reused forever.
What's stored depends on your project scope.
